of grade school, middle school, high school, college, teaching, medical school, residency...my smartypants husband started his Residency today and I couldn't be more proud, teary-eyed, and lonely. In so many ways I can't believe this day is finally here. He is Dr. C today complete with his scrubs, pager {now officially flipped "on"}, degree, new post-initials, early morning routine, and responsibilities. Speaking of early morning routine...I tried to send hubby off in style this morning with one of these...I mean...I cringed when he wanted to take his lunch in a plastic grocery sack. He chuckled and soon realized I was serious...I even offered my Texan the cow print. How can he resist. Well he did...so at the wee hours of 5:30AM this morning as I was trying not to see cross.eyed and finishing up his pb&j sandwich and feeling guilty that as a work.at.home wife I couldn't provide more nutrition for my doctor husband's lunch...I sure did send him off with a crooked smile, crossed eyes, and a plastic bagged lunch...I did include a little tlc when I slipped in a note. Hope it makes him smile and not blush when he reads it around his new doctor peeps.

Hillarious!! I love it!! What is it with our husbands and taking lunch in a stupid plastic bag!?! I would have loved to watch Dr. Crim walk out of your house with that lunch tote!!
I hope the day went well for Brandon! Talk to you soon.

awww you're such a good little wifey
you do realize that if your husband took his lunch to work in what you proposed, he would have been beaten up. i can only imagine the look he gave you in response to your suggestion - i laughed out loud!
