WoW! I was so surprised to find out yesterday that Waterford Wedgewood has filed bankruptcy. This company dates all the way back to 1783, but succumbed to closing its doors for almost 100 years in the 1850s. Its doors reopened in 1947 and went on to acquire Wedgewood and Royal Doulton...now all under failure again. Rumor has it that 3 potential buyers are on the table...all from the USA.
I knew I should have used my Macy's gift card last month to complete our wedding set...but seeing as it would have only purchased ONE glass...I added it to a wish list far far away.
